Personal Project
Concept & Production
Back in the 90s, UFO sightings were everywhere. Some random person in the middle of nowhere always seemed to have a camera at just the right moment. Then smartphones happened, everyone got an HD camera in their pocket, and somehow the aliens stopped showing up. The hoax needed the alibi of inaccessible technology to survive. Once cameras became universal, the whole thing quietly fell apart.
What's interesting is how much technology shapes belief, not just by revealing the truth, but by removing the conditions that made certain stories possible in the first place. Alien Photobomb leans into that irony. If the sightings dried up because everyone got a camera, maybe the fix is just to give the evidence back.
I want to keep believing.
