ChatCo2

Personal Project
Concept & Design

As of March 2025, ChatGPT emits over 260 tonnes of CO₂ every month, the equivalent of hundreds of transatlantic flights, yet most people never think twice before hitting send. ChatCO2 explores how our endless quest for knowledge and fulfillment is not only shaping society but also impacting the natural environment.

The site compiles the 40 most frequently asked questions on ChatGPT, giving people instant answers without triggering a new query each time, saving up to 150g of CO₂ per user. The design took a bold, contemporary typographic approach to make the message feel urgent without being preachy, and the rollout extended across social media to get the conversation going beyond the site itself.

A self-initiated project that doesn't condemn progress, it simply asks a question.
